Reviews

How reviews are synced

Reviews are automatically synced daily at 6am UTC from your connected App Store Connect and Google Play accounts. You can also trigger a manual sync by clicking the Sync button on the Reviews page.

Each review shows its source with a badge: iOS for App Store reviews or Play for Google Play reviews.

Review list

The Reviews tab shows all synced reviews for your project. You can filter by star rating (1-5 stars). Each review card displays:

• Star rating
• Author name (or "Anonymous")
• Review title and body preview
• Territory/region and app version
• Source badge (iOS or Play)
• Whether a developer response exists
• Linked insight indicator

Review details

Click on a review to see the full detail view, which includes:

• Complete review text
• Star rating, author, territory, app version, and submission date
• Linked insights extracted by AI
• AI processing results showing what actions were taken
• Developer response section

Responding to reviews

You can respond to App Store reviews directly from ReleaseTag. The response section at the bottom of a review provides:

AI-suggested responses

ReleaseTag can generate a suggested response based on the review content and your project's context. The AI considers the customer's sentiment, the specific issues mentioned, and your project's mission statement.

Writing and publishing responses

1. Click Get Suggestion for an AI draft, or write your own response
2. Edit the response as needed
3. Click Publish to submit the response to the App Store

Responses go through a draft state before publishing, so you can review them before they go live.

AI analysis

When reviews are synced, AI automatically analyzes each review and may:

• Create insights for bugs, feature requests, or notable feedback
• Link the review to existing insights if the topic matches
• Suggest actions like draft developer responses

The review detail page shows the AI processing result, including whether insights were created or linked.
