Getting Started

ReleaseTag is a customer feedback platform that collects signals from email, app store reviews, and crash reports, then uses AI to extract insights and suggest actions.

How ReleaseTag works

ReleaseTag follows a three-step flow: Signals → Insights → Actions.

  1. Signals come in from multiple sources: customer emails, App Store reviews, Google Play reviews, and crash reports from Sentry or Firebase Crashlytics.
  2. Insights are automatically extracted by AI. Related feedback is grouped together and categorized as bugs, feature requests, or general feedback with a priority level.
  3. Actions are suggested by AI based on the insights: draft replies to customers, responses to reviews, or even code changes via GitHub pull requests. You review and approve before anything is sent.

Setting up your account

When you first sign up, the onboarding wizard guides you through:

  1. Create an organization — Your organization is the top-level container for your team and projects.
  2. Create a project — Each project tracks feedback for one app or product. Your project gets a unique inbound email address automatically.
  3. Connect your signal sources (optional) — Connect App Store Connect, Google Play, or set up email forwarding to start receiving feedback immediately.

Insights

AI automatically extracts patterns from your feedback and groups them into actionable insights with priorities and categories.

Diagnostics

Crash reports and ANR events from Sentry and Firebase Crashlytics appear alongside your customer feedback for a complete picture.

Actions

AI-suggested actions include draft replies, review responses, and code changes. Review and execute with one click.
