Sentry Integration

Connect Sentry to ReleaseTag to automatically import crash reports and errors into your Diagnostics dashboard alongside customer feedback and app reviews.

Overview

The Sentry integration syncs issues from your Sentry projects to ReleaseTag in real-time. When a new issue is detected, resolved, or ignored in Sentry, ReleaseTag automatically updates to reflect the change.

Managing the integration

Unlinking a project

To stop syncing issues from a specific Sentry project:

  1. Go to Project Settings
  2. Find the Sentry project in the Sentry Projects section
  3. Click Unlink

Existing diagnostics are preserved but no new issues will sync.

Disconnecting Sentry

To fully disconnect the Sentry integration:

  1. Go to Sentry → SettingsIntegrations
  2. Find ReleaseTag and click Uninstall

This removes all project links and stops all syncing. Existing diagnostics in ReleaseTag are preserved.

Troubleshooting

Issues not appearing

  • Verify the Sentry project is linked in ReleaseTag project settings
  • Check that the issue was created after linking the project (historical issues don't sync)
  • Ensure the Sentry integration is still installed (check Sentry → Settings → Integrations)

Wrong organization connected

If you connected the wrong Sentry organization:

  1. Uninstall ReleaseTag from Sentry (Settings → Integrations → ReleaseTag → Uninstall)
  2. In ReleaseTag, go to Organization Settings → Integrations
  3. Click Install from Sentry and select the correct organization

Privacy & Security

  • ReleaseTag only accesses issue metadata, not raw event data or source code
  • Authentication uses OAuth 2.0 with automatic token refresh
  • Webhook payloads are verified using HMAC signatures
  • You can revoke access at any time from Sentry
